How to Connect with Sensory Escape Images

Over the past year, has grown to serve thousands of visitors from literally 60 different countries with quite a steep upward curve in traffic. With so many new visitors, I wanted to share a few ways you can stay connected to Sensory Escape Images. In doing so, hopefully newer visitors might discover some element of who we are that they otherwise may have missed. I've also included a brief summary of each section for those newer visitors.

  • Sitewide

    • Bookmark it! Many of our readers simply bookmark their favorite page of Sensory Escape Images so that they can check in on Sensory Escape Images from time to time.

    • Social Networking Sites including Facebook and Twitter

On every single page of Sensory Escape Images you may have noticed a common footer that looks something like the image above. Simply hovering over each icon will provide you with a small text window describing the social networking site represented there. If I had to pick the three most active social networking sites for Sensory Escape Images, they'd be Facebook, StumbleUpon, and Twitter in that order. Check us out!

  • The Blog

The theme of our blog is 'Viewing our world through the lense!' Broad and popular topics like photography, camera gear reviews, discounts on photography related gear, travel articles and reviews, social interest articles like one recent favorite 'Raising Kids to be Entrepreneurs', and ocean conservation are all offered on this blog along with lots of great images. If any of that interests you, get connected with us.

    • RSS Feed - one of the most popular ways that people follow what goes up on the blog is via a ‘news feed’ or an ‘RSS feed’. This technology lets you subscribe to our site and be notified of updates using a variety of RSS readers such as Google’s ‘Reader’ tool, iGoogle, MyYahoo and many other RSS readers. If you want to use these to subscribe to Sensory Escape Images, you’ll need to add this feed. Unfamiliar with RSS but would like to learn more? Read our article about it.
    • RSS Emails - if you don’t use RSS you can still get updates sent to you every time a new article is published by subscribing to our feed via email. You can do this by entering your email address on this page.

    • Monthly Newsletter - many of you aren't yet aware that we have a monthly email newsletter. In this email I give a short summary of the most popular articles for the month including images, new content, and discounts. Leave us your email address here to be added to our newsletter.
    • Social Networking - in addition to the common footer offered on every page of Sensory Escape Images, the upper left corner of the blog offers several additional opportunities to connect with us.

  • Shark Conservation

Check out our Shark Finning Resource Center to learn more about one of the greatest threats to our ocean currently underway that is going on unabated. Learn about this slaughter of animals and specific steps that you can take to stop it there.

  • The Gallery

Our gallery contains some of the best images that we've taken over the past few years including six that were taken literally arm's reach from the largest sharks we've ever seen...and no...we weren't in a cage! All of the images can be purchased in print or other mediums that come ready to hang on your wall. You can even add any of these images to your gift registry using our new, free universal gift registry system. Any image of a shark purchased there automatically includes a small donation to Sea Shepherd who has a dedicated campaign to stop shark finning.

  • Portraits and Headshots

We perform family, children, engagement, newborn, sweetheart, holiday, high school senior, corporate events, models, and executive portrait photography. To book your professional private portraits session, visit our Portraits Page. Now you can even add your next portraits session to your gift registry.

  • 2011 Wall Calendar

In August of 2009, my wife Jackie and I visited the Galapagos Islands where we spent one week on a liveabord yacht scuba diving every day. These islands are a UNESCO World Heritage site with wildlife as their most notable feature. Few people ever get to visit these islands rendering images from the Galapagos a true treasure. This year's calendar showcases images taken on this trip. There are only a limited number of calendars being offered.

  • Gear List

Visit our gear list page to explore the gear that we use both topside and underwater.

  • Recommended Reading

Interested in improving your creative side? Our recommended reading page is full of insightful books on the topics of digital photography and photoshop that are guaranteed to support your learning. I refer to many of them regularly.
