On the day we visited Death Valley, the forecasts had dropped from 120 degrees fahrenheit to 113 degrees fahrenheit or 45 degrees celsius. I can't imagine what 120 degrees must feel like.

Still these two poms, Ross and Dave, brought out a soccer ball to kick around on the Badwater Basin salt flats. The sun was punishing yet there were many people out to enjoy this national park with us, some with homemade head coverings.

Here's the two of them at Natural Bridge.

And again hiking to our spot to watch the sunset over Mesquite Dunes...still at 108 degrees just after the sun had dropped behind the mountains.
