The Wave at Valley of Fire State Park in Nevada

Just a 1 hour drive north of Las Vegas is one of the best kept secrets in state or federal parks. The Valley Of Fire State Park is right next to the Lake Mead Recreation Area and within close enough driving distance from Las Vegas to make it a great day trip option on your next visit to Sin City. This particular site within Valley of Fire is about a 200 meter hike from the road and can be easily located with the help of a ranger. Something that I've really enjoyed about this park is that it offers, what I consider to be, one of the best and largest collections of petroglyphs in state or national parks.

On a different note, I'm announcing the completion of the 2012 Sensory Escape Images Calendar which is due to arrive here within 1 week. This image is the cover for the calendar which contains images from the past year of shoots. It's one of my most exciting endeavors yet and I think there's something in it for a variety of different tastes. Stay tuned for the official launch.
