If you're planning a visit to Antelope Canyon or Glen Canyon National Recreation Area in Page, Arizona, make this a stop on your itinerary. A one mile hike from the parking area places you at the top of a 1,000 foot drop into the Colorado River below with an amazing view perfect for either sunrise or sunset. I think this will be my last Horseshoe Bend blog for a while since I believe I'm fresh out of images from this amazing place.

Something unique about showing up at sunrise is the large number of beetles that appear in the pink colored sand that forms the pathway to the edge of the canyon. They seem to be everywhere I looked when I visited. Unfortunately, photographing at sunrise isn't the best time due to the line of light the forms half way down the wall of the canyon. This shot was taken around 10:00am local time.
