Horseshoe Bend of the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area in Page, Arizona

Something unique about showing up at sunrise is the large number of beetles that appear in the pink colored sand that forms the pathway to the edge of the canyon. They seem to be everywhere I looked when I visited. Unfortunately, photographing at sunrise isn't the best time due to the line of light the forms half way down the wall of the canyon. This shot was taken around 10:00am local time.
