Raising Kids to be Entrepreneurs

This post is a little off the topic of photography but important to me personally, nonetheless. The video below is relevant to most people because most of us can relate to being raised as children and young adults to occupy various 8-5 office jobs. Our schools and our parents seem to lean toward educating us for high paying careers like law, medicine, finance/accounting, and more recently information technology. Let's face it, safety and relatively good and consistent pay are available working for someone else.

Well-intended as this guidance is, not everyone is cut out for working 8 hours a day in a cubicle, doing 8+ years of university work, or counting beans.

My hope is that you watch this short video with an open mind and consider honestly 2 things:

1) If what you're doing right now is exactly what you want for yourself and
2) What values were instilled in you as a child or young adult to guide you to where you are in your career now. Are they serving you well?
